Just in case I will mention that I only have done the drivers side. I wanted to keep the passenger side on for reference just in case I needed it.

I also tried both drums and both will not slide...

Tom, I did try that both ways with the offsets and it didnt work either way :( but I will switch it around, its easy enough.

Pat, the drums are new. I am not sure if the ebrake was turned or...

The bearing does not move front to back. Is there an easy way to move the seal back with out destroying it? It's a pretty snug seal. Was thinking of the one foot drop method but not sure if that...

I just installed one of the seals in the new drum. I repacked the bearing and dropped it in. I then installed the seal. I think I may have gone a little far with the seal as its about 1/8" below...

Im having a hard time finding someone that can turn my drums in southern orange county. The few places I have found say they don't. I'm am also hoping they my arch the shoes if possible.

Well the tranny has been identified as a 81A-7222 , Now im trying to find out more on this model and what the advantages and disavantages are.

You are correct. I have a 81A-7222 installed. However it has a 7 stamped above that part number. Does that mean anything?

Was this a common trans to put in a '29? As you can see...

Thank you for that link I will go look at it and clean it up to see if I can find a model number.

It does have 3 forward gears in the "H" Pattern and I do believe gears 2 and 3 are...

Its an "H" pattern shifting with 3 forward gears. I started another thread and someone thinks it a '39 tranny so im looking into that. I wish I could talk to the man that estored the car in '95 but...

the switch I bought from Snyders seems to be the same as the one that was on the car. The one on the car seem to have had the mounting holes cut off and then rivited to another plate. WHy?? no...

Well I found the problem The stop switch was pulled out of the unit which makes sense as thats when the car died on me when I came to a stop. I bought a new switch from snyders and went to install it...

So are u saying to put it to the wire that goes from the alternator to the wire harness at the steering wheel? This way if it blows there I will still have a 30 amp on the starter to support...

Still new here and I have a 29 Tudor that is still 6v with a nu-Rex alternator that was on the car when i bought it.

Sadly this weakened I had to use my AAA card to get home. She completely died...
