The difference is with the window garnishes, door handles + cranks and trim. Doors are the same for '40. The inner structure of '40 doors prevents the one piece glass of earlier doors from rising....

My '41 pickup had a factory column shift. It started as a six cylinder. Hard to imagine a half ton of anything in that small bed. Makes me think that half ton was very optimistic. Good Luck: Fred A
