Re: Model A cross-country migration
Sounds like to me you are ready to roll. I believe it's exactly the same distance from Oregon to Michigan as it was when that Model A was new. Pack some bologna and cheese, pork and beans, Vienna...

Re: Which suppliers attend Hershey ?
Thanks to the guys who are actually trying to answer the question asked, it's information I'm interested in too. Maybe you folks bitching about the sales tax could start your own discussion.

Where are the best swap meets?
What swap meets are your favorite for pre-war stuff. I've been to Hershey and Carlyle, but what else rates high on your list?

Re: KR Wilson part ID
thanks for the reply! I'm not sure which stand I have but this 6005 adaptor will fit and lock into position. Do you have a picture of this attachment that shows how it would attach to a V8 flathead?

KR Wilson part ID
Picked up a KRW engine stand and this was one of the attachments. It's got a number 6005 on it but google isn't helping me here. Anyone know what it's for?

What hub caps?
I put some 1940 ford wheels on my A and was planning to put the 40 hub caps on as well but they wont fit because the hub sticks out too far. I've seen hub caps on Model A's with steel wheels haven't...

Re: Question for Tom Endy
That spider is too hard to tap. I did manage to drill one using a masonry bit, actually two, but when it came to tapping it? Nope you just can't do it with a hand tap. Spiders are pretty easy to come...

Re: How To Lower The Model A The Old Fashion Way
[QUOTE=Scott F.;1431939]Thanks for the replies guys. Bob C is correct. These are 1932 actuators and the arm goes down. They are also 1932-34 king pins, which have the 'cup' offset differently than A...

Re: F@#$ing Shackles
Here's a crazy idea. Measure the ID of the perch, then measure the OD of the bushing. What you are looking for is an interference fit of about .003. There are two common methods for installing parts...

Re: Generator to alternator swap
This isn't a difficult swap and well worthwhile. I won't go into the obvious bracketry and belt issues, you can either fabricate what you need by modifying your existing or buy from a supplier. As...

Differential spider gear yoke
Found it, thanks to Stew
I'd like to buy a yoke that the spider gears mount on in a Model a differential. Doesn't have to be perfect, as I want it to make a bearing pre-load tool. Thanks

Roadster at Hershey
I saw this roadster on Tuesday morning at Hershey. The guy said he was gonna sell it for the best offer by Friday and it wasn't going home with him. Does anyone know what it sold for?
