Sometimes it reads 80 psi and sometime 30 and sometimes 0. All these times the mechanical gauge on the engine reads 45 psi.

I have just the single fuel pump. I added 5 gallons of gas to the tank and it runs a lot better. It still smokes on startup. I know I am loosing oil, because the oil level goes down with use.

The temerature sensor is about $60. There are some on ebay and i found one on macs's. I tried to use one from a small block ford but it doesnt work right on my gauge, so i woud not go that route....

I rebuilt the flathead 6 in my 1949 ford pickup. I bought the piston rings from macs auto parts and i got the bearings from advance auto parts. I happened to find a NOS rebuilt carburetor on ebay....

I would try ebay. I needed a pilot bearing for a 1949 ford pickup and mac's wanted $6 plus $9 dollars shipping. I got the same bearing on ebay for $7 with free shipping.

They are asbestos coated steel. When I removed mine, I just put on a dust mask and scraped them off. Mine came off easily without making hardly any dust.
