Is it condensation ? or coolant ? You will be able to smell a difference.
If you suspect a head gasket (or worse) look for bubbles in the radiator.
Is it hard to start ? If coolant was getting in...

I would try washing out the clutch with brakeclean, I just watch out that you don't "flush out" your throw out bearing in the process.

You have 2 bulbs in that light, one for tail (red) one for stop (amber)
Sounds like the deflector that separates the two bulbs may be broken or missing.
If the light looks 'dimmer' than the other...

Not a good idea to weld them, for 2 reasons...
First - the wheel bolts have a shoulder (that you'll swedge against) that could interfere with the wheel seating properly
Second - Welding the bolt...

Playing the "wise guy" here - all those coats of paint could be 'sealing up' a lot of leaks
Be careful of the stripper around the gaskets and seals, unless you are planning to regasket anyway

That's how I did mine -
I just made sure it was room temp, some good heavy duty duct tape, stretch the rubber tight enough to flatten out the wrinkles on the corners
tape on all 4 sides as you work...

Left Door Slide Lock
Anybody got a 30-31 driver's door cut open to see what I'm missing, (or turned around the wrong way)
I rebuilt my door latches (new spring kits) put the door back together, everything works great...

I went the polyurethene route on top, and painted the underside with 3-4 coats of black enamel
I used steel bed strips painted body color, with stainless steel carriage bolts

I had trouble with mine, no matter how you set them, the headlight would go back to the same position when you tighten the nut.
