Re: 37 gauge polarity

If the Ford "chopper" CVRs are so bad, how did we get along so well with them 28 years (57 to 85)? I worked for Ford dealers many of those years and rarely if ever did we have a problem with gauge...

Re: 37 gauge polarity

I have been converting 6v Ford gauges to 12v systems for many years and have always used the Ford CVR without problems. Other that 1956, Ford used 6v gauges in all applications until 1986 when they...

Re: Increase positive castor

Changing caster only can be tricky. You can't just remove a shim tom the rear or add a shim in the front. Doing so will change both camber and caster. If say you remove a 1/8th shim from the...

Re: Low-pressure brake light switch

I also went to the Harley brake light switch a few years ago and have had no problems since. A little spendy but considering a one time purchase, well worth it .

Re: I'm so tired- but so so happy

Back in the dark ages right after electricity and indoor plumbing, we were trying to remove the rear hubs on my '46 tudor. An old retired Ford mechanic sat on his porch across the street from...

Re: King-Seeley gas guage guts

A few o/p and temp setups but no fuel. Mostly used newer gauge guts with original senders per owner requests.

Re: Question for carb experts

You should be able to use a pump body and arm, return spring, do and arm, and elastomer valve from a later 4100 or 2100 2bbl. Without any problem. Just make sure all the parts come from the same...

Re: King-Seeley gas guage guts

Ford used 6V King Seeley gauges until 1986 when they went to magnetic gauges and we were inundated with gauge problems for quite a while after that. The IVR kept the voltage to the gauge at...
