I did my 39 tudor by myself. I can't give any superior advice other than patience. I heard a rumor that the factory workers assigned this duty only lived to their mid 30s.

I used a version of this setup on my 39 rebuild (from fordbarn and HAMB, many ideas can be found). I now have several thousand miles on it with no problems and no blow-by.

make a pointed tool for your pneumatic chisel--place it in the center of the pin--hit trigger in brief spurts--it will very likely come right out.

I have had dual set of SS 97s for two years with no problems. Had to change jets to fit my rebuilt engine--too rich out of the box.
