I havw used Pinesol to clean my carbs and fuel pumps and rinced them off in a good cleaning solvent it worked very well

Why not use the Model A set up?? They used them in the early sprint cars and ran twice the HP of a flathead V-8

Henry for the sender to work it needs a good ground if the threads are dirty or rusty or painted trouble will follow

If the motor is not stuck 6 years is not too long I started and ran a 33 ford truck that had not ran for 50 years change the oil belts hoses clean carb and pump and tank go for it sounds good to me

need to curve the patch to match the door . Tac let cool tac let cool slow and easy is the name of the game here. the closer the fit the better.
