Re: 1946 ford front door hinges adjustments

You can place a piece of wood between the door and the post then closing the door against it will spread the hinge thereby moving it away from the post.

Re: 1950 Ford Heater Switch

Not sure what you mean by modern transistor resistor. You can replace it with a resistor that has same ohms value and wattage. I would imagine finding a NOS one would look better. They are ceramic...

Re: 34 door latches?

There were two styles of the front handle latches where the handle moved in opposite directions for each style. I had not seen center handle latches that worked in a similar fashion.

Pretty much as it is pictured is the view from the front of the car. The hole on each side is where the lower radiator mount bolts go through.

Re: F1 Radiator Fan Shroud

Probably easier to put a v8 shroud on a 6 than the other way around. The v8 radiator has 4 hose connections and the six only has two. The v8 shroud is dimpled at the bottom for the two hoses. Not...

Re: 6 or 12 volts?

I put new wiring in my 52 f1 and kept it 6v. Everything works great. The only downside with 6v is if you leave the lights on and need a jump start.

Re: How to remove a 33 front crossmember?

Can remove the brake hoses then jack up the frame high enough to clear spring. Probably have to go rearward with it due to the taper of the frame it won't go forward and out.

Re: Hood hinge bolts, F-1

The studs are on the part that bolts to the side of the cowl. The hood has captured nuts where the hinge arms bolt into, 2 on each side. Possible they were drilled out if the bolts snapped off.
