The Ford nuts have a 13/16" hex, 1/2-20 thread and a 60º cone. There are lots of nuts around that don't have the hex size or cone angle right.

Does your 3 speed have the 25 tooth cluster gear? If not, that might be a good option to get lower first and second gears.

My old coupe has a PCV valve horizontally screwed into the base of the carb. I think it's a 3/8" pipe thread and it's connected to a big rubber grommet where the road draft tube existed before PCV....
