I have a 53 F-100 also. I had a severe bump steer after rebuilding the front end. New king pins, drag link, tie rods, springs ect... I tried 2, and 4 degrees. The 4 degree worked better, but...

I would also like to know. I have the same truck, and the same tranny sitting in my garage. I have been told its similar to installing a top loader 4spd that was in Ford muscle cars in the 60's.

I have a 9" with a 3.25 ratio in my 53 F-100. Mild flatty, and stock tranny. Cruises @ 60 just a lil over 2000 rpm's. Best bolt on I ever did. The axle came from a 71 F-100.

Thanks again. I will adjust the toe back to 1/16" I have 4 degree shims installed. We will try this and see what happens!

The drag link is new and adjusted per my shop manual specs. It doesnt wobble, its just when I hit a bump a certain way. The steering box has a little play. I can move the wheel 3/4" before i can...
