It was the spark plugs causing it to run on 3 cylinders. That and the play in the commutator rod.
Everything is back to normal now. It runs great!

Thank you Marshall and jwaldrich.... The coils are brand new (last year). I did make sure the coil "rattlers" are adjusted properly.

Okay, thank you. I googled it and confirmed that mine is positioned properly. I think I did not adjust my pull rod properly. When I took the plugs out, I noticed the rear cylinder was the one not...

Okay, so I did all of that above mentioned stuff. My question now is: The commutator roller inside the cap. At what position should that be while on Top dead Center?

Oh! I forgot to mention, the rear end has never been apart since we've owned it...since 1964-65ish.
Do you think maybe the thrust plate might cause this problem?

I would like to know that if my clutch forks are worn out, would that cause the car to jerk/pulsate when in high gear going down the road?
It just seems like the high gear is not fully engaging?
