When I had my big trucks a senior mechanic at Kenworth Northwest told me that recycled oil had harder molecules and was better ;]

As I worked on the old girl I often thought if back when you did something to make Henry mad where would he put you on the assembly...

what I have done is
clean well, laquer thinner or acetone to get all wax and oils off
scuff it with a scuff pad to provide a "key" for the primer
paint with a good DTM (direct to metal) urethane...

nope, 2 are fried down to the base plate, not having much luck finding them either.
might just silver solder some on if I can find them.

I like the plastic wrap or wax paper, use it when doing fiberglass also.
Razor blade would work also.
I have taken some scrap material and glued it to steel with...

I read someplace that after converting to mechanical spark advance the spark lever was used for turn signals, can't find it now.

Here is what I am thinking, picture 1 is pre tear down, gas tank fits.
The rest are where I am currently at, body off of the chassis.
When we test fitted the body to the chassis we had to shim...

installed the gas tank yesterday and the welting just does not look right.
does the bead sit between the tank and cowl or flush to the outside?

70deg reducer, shop temp about 65, HVLP gun w/ 1.4 tip. stamina is ok, used to paint big trucks.
I noticed in your pictures that the door looked to be masked, did you paint the other side first?
