Time for a new battery???
I assume the corrosion on the hold-down corners is from a leak?
Also, it's not revealed in the picture but the area around the positive post is swollen.

Re: Foam in Anti-freeze
Update. Still running with water.
I put some of the drained anti-freeze (AF) in a water bottle, shook it up, and the result was crazy foam. Does that indicate oil/grease in the AF?
Did...

Re: Foam in Anti-freeze
This is what I have after my second flush/just water/get hot trial.
As far as fresh anti-freeze, I'm sure I read where that Zerex low-silicate (that I used prior) was the way to go for old cars.

Re: Foam in Anti-freeze
Drained the anti-freeze (cold engine). All that foam is just the result of the anti-freeze dropping from the spigot to the pan. If this occurs via simple, mild agitation, I would think that it...

Re: Foam in Anti-freeze
Thanks for all of the suggestions. Trying to eliminate one-by-one.
As per some Fordbarn advice, the pic shows the four plugs and the anti-freeze I use.
Anything odd about the plugs?
I think...

Foam in Anti-freeze
What the heck is causing this foam?
I did the "Lestoil shuffle" a few years ago, but I don't think it's that.
Thanks

Re: Fuel Shut-off O-Ring
Thanks for all the replies.
It's a repro valve. No packing.
Used on a 1930, under the tank.
The hardware store did have bins of O-rings but none matched.I'll try another store.
My general...

Fuel Shut-off O-Ring
After I replaced my fuel shut-off, I thought I might play with the old, leaky one. A buddy of mine will help me "lap" the brass sections. However, I'd also like to get a new O-Ring for the stem but...

Fuel shutoff confusion
I decided against a fuel shutoff rebuild kit and instead, for a new valve.
For kicks, I dis-assembled the old shutoff (see attachment).
I was expecting to see some old grungy packing but all I...

Re: More Generator Questions
I wonder if I have mix-and-match.
Perhaps that's what is causing the shaft play?
