Re: Help with painting - still practicing

Sounds like you may not have put on enough primer over the body filler as it will absorb the primer. A sealer would be used before spraying the color coat if there are old layers of paint and...

Re: F-1 ignition switch install - Suggestions?

The bezel on 48-50 trucks fits tighter than the 51-52 style. Make sure you don't have dirt or rust that is keeping the spring in the bezel from moving.

Re: 53 Ford mainline horn

No. Horns don't care about polarity. They are just a coil of wire.

Re: 1940 Deluxe Steering wheel Removal

The 40 vintique wheel I have on my F1 cracked this past winter on the outer ring. No pieces fell out but the crack is about 3/16 wide. Ugh
I agree with Kube "total garbage"

Re: Frozen Distributor 351 Windsor (69)

The rotor will turn as it seats. So you don't want the rotor in the exact spot as you insert. Once you install and remove a couple times you will get a feel for how much it will rotate as it seats.

Re: 1960 pickup

Chrome bumpers were not done on the F1s they were all painted. The grille would not have been chromed but instead there were stainless strips that bolted to the grille bars.
