you will have more fun than you can imagine on a key snap ring in there. I had to use a welding tip to get in the middle. Maybe someone can give a easier method.

Most important is that if you are using a reground cam, you must have the thick headed lifters or the head will have to be unscrewed out too far to stay adjusted. I have several engines with lifters...

I use steel gaskets on my 4cyl and 8s with very good success. Prep is important and a good coating of copper coat sealer on both sides of the gasket is IMO a must as well as at least two retorques. ...

Its a near bolt in if you have the starter housing that moves the starter to the right hand side. Setup requires an adapter plate and pilot bearing, behind the engine and Hurst mounts for the front...

late model Heyer Tune up machine

Looking for repair information and wiring diagram for the late Heyer machine. That's the one with the vertical manometer mounted on it, I think these machines were brought out around 1948.

6v battery, hook positive to radio case, negative to lead that is not a shelded wire. Turn on with head hooked to it. Fixed magnet speakers will work fine. Do not remember if connection on antenna...

The distributor point plate plunger was mentioned, have had problems with them in the past, removed it and ran a wire to the points. Also, the "brush" in your ign switch could also need cleaning. ...

As much as you say its out could mean that the wood between cab and frame is not right and may need to be shimmed. I had the same problem and had to also straighten the frame to get a sag out of it.
