Re: Where’s my water going?
You didn’t mention what year radiator but if its a designed non pressurized system your simply losing coolant when you get up to speed.
Install a 4 pound rad cap and at the end of your overflow...

Re: 94 Carb Question:
Are you running an electric fuel pump?
Check your fuel pressure regardless of what you are using.
Should be no more than 2-1/2.

Re: 6-Volt Jump Start
You can hook up 12 volts directly to the 6 volt starter to turn the engine over.
Many 6 volt starters are run in 12 volt conversions for years with no issues.

Re: 53 merc v8 overheating
Use 100% vinegar and run the engine on the road with it. Drain, flush and refill as many times as needed until you’re clear. Finally flush with baking soda as a neutralizer.

Re: Starter Solenoid Alternatives
Some of the later ford solenoids did actuate with a positive feed instead of grounding.
Don’t recall the year but I’ve seen some aftermarket ones like this.

Re: It finaly arrived !
No sorry, I don’t know what cam is in this 8ba. I would guess its pretty close to stock by the sound of it at idle.
I will say that trying this setup on your engine may be successful. There’s...

Re: It finaly arrived !
I’m not adding this info to disprove any flathead loadamatic knowledge.
I do believe one Venturi line to one carburetor is generally the correct information.
I’ve run this setup now for 20 yrs. ...

Install a two pound brake residual valve on the end of your overflow tube. The radiator will easily handle two pounds of pressure. The valve allow you to pressurize the tank and more importantly keep...

Or does anyone have a spare...
