Re: Spindle Wear
Thanks gents, I'm used to more modern stuff (40's - 60's) where a spindle like this would predict certain disaster. The edges near the inside of the spindle are very sharp, not something I would...

Spindle Wear
Is this something I should be afraid of, or am I ok to continue driving on this spindle? I haven't looked at the other side yet but I doubt it's any better.

Re: Fuel pump oddity
I'm afraid to try that solution on mine, because if for some reason the rod really is too long or something is out of whack, I can't imagine what would happen when the rod came up under load! I...

Re: Fuel pump oddity
My intake is labeled 8CM, same as the block, so I know that isn't my problem. But darned if I know what IS my problem! I'm not comfortable just cutting down the rod to fit. It came with this...

Re: Fuel pump oddity
Thanks guys, first please note that in the photo above the pump is sitting flush because the camshaft lobe is down. When up, the fuel pump comes WAY up, probably 1/2". I just didn't take a photo of...

Fuel pump oddity
When mounting the fuel pump to my 8CM, the rod seems to be about 1/2" too long because when the cam is as full rise, the pump sits about 1/4'1/2" off the intake manifold. The rod is seated in the...

Re: 1925 Pickup Bed Dimensions
Thanks, that's great info. I guess the only thing I'm not clear on is why the bed is mounted so far forward on mine. I thought the touring body was longer than the pickup body. Not so?

Re: 1925 Pickup Bed Dimensions
Here's the best shot of the side that I could find. I've lightened up the truck in the photo so you can see it better.
Also in case it makes a difference, this is a Canadian-built T. It has...

Re: 1925 Pickup Bed Dimensions
Yeah, it does appear to be a touring body. I've been told that the factory offered them this way. Is that incorrect? Would having the touring front body mean the bed sits farther forward or back...

You guys are great! Thanks again. If you need a cover for this sort of thing, Big Sky Car Covers in Montana has a pattern and are making me one. They're even making it custom to fit the wood slats...

Re: 1925 Pickup Bed Dimensions
Thanks, I didn't know there was a metal bed for '25. The previous owner installed this '26 bed which appears to be the same one in your ad above.
So to restate my question properly... anyone know...

1925 Pickup Bed Dimensions
Can anyone tell me the dimensions of a stock 1925 wood pickup bed? I have a '25 T with a '26 steel bed and I'm having a cover made for it, but I don't know what the difference in size is. I'm...

Re: An Early Ford Truck Post... Let's see them.
I've posted it before but it's still the best photo I have of my two early Fords. '25 Model T Roadster Pickup and '39 V8 Pickup.
Until the '39 is running, the '25 will continue hauling the...
