You must have used the repros made by Vintique. They pint outward, making the car look walleyed. Get a set of originals and have them rechromed.

It looks like this tip is more geared for when you use the modern upper plate as it has the condenser on the upper plate.

That is probably the best way I have heard of yet fot installing beads. I am going to try that next time, if I remember. Not something you have to do very often.
