Model T "factory spec" is .03125", or to put it in the parleyance of back then, 1/32 o an inch. That's with Champion X's, or also with Splitdorfs, or any other original plug.

There were a number of different timers used on both the T and the Fordson - the one that this one matches has a set of contact points in the cap to "make and break" the contact as the rotor made...

Gives you a little more power to the wheels. Stock (factory) is 11:40. For a while (probably still out there) you could get 13:39 kits - makes that speedster or roadster really walk the dog, turns...

They're not hard to do, but go really gently. On my Winfield aftermarket carbs (which I love dearly!!) I did my own work, and at the worst case had to have a needle valve remade (scored bad!) but...

Couple things, look in your gas tank with a good flashlight for rust. Rust never sleeps, but it will make your car do so (usually at the worst possible moment!). ...

You have an issue... somewhere. Sounded off the cuff like a manifold leak, but it recreates as soon as y our car gets hot (and 280 IS hot for a T). If it were carb probs, a 4 would be running lean...

IF you don't have a starter or generator on your car (blocking plates on the hogshead and front right of the motor where the generator goes) you *can* use a 12V battery to fire the coils. I prefer...
