Re: dual rear spare question
My 29 coupe came with dual spare tires. I took them off as I did not like them. I later found the top bolt that bolts to the body was broken. It looked like a new bolt, so it may have broken before.

Re: Dangerous Situation with Electric Fuel pump
I am running a Stromberg 97 on an Anson manifold. In order to climb hills, it needs a pump. As for wiring, I get power right off of my starter relay. The ignition switch is not part of this circuit....

Dangerous Situation with Electric Fuel pump
The other night as I was leaving a car show cruise, I forgot to turn on the fuel valve. I did remember to turn on the fuel pump. As the engine started to sputter, I remembered the fuel shut off, and...

Re: Double Clutch Upshift
When I was a teenager, I was great at driving my "A". Now 55 years later it took a lot of practice to learn all over. The most important thing is to go slow and feel the gear into place. It helps not...

I would be interested in a Winfield Repro. Do you have the "Rights" to the name and original script?

Re: Ideal Street & Touring Speed Equipment Setup
The first four items on your list will give you a great increase in power and make the car much more drivable. Stromberg carbs are more traditional, and less fussy about tuning. Strombergs do cost...

Re: Introducing the new 1928 Ford
My father could remember, how people crowded the Ford dealer when they got the first model A. He said there was a group of people waiting out side the dealer before they opened the doors.

Re: 2 Spares
You can still buy those special bolts from Mac's or Snyder's, one of those. My 29 came with two spares mounted with those same bolts. I sold them on E-Bay for more than the catalog price.

Re: AV8 radiator/fan clearance ?
If you change to early V8 water pumps, you will also need to change the cam, timing gears, and front cover. I always build the other way, take a 59 AB and build it like a 8 BA.
