I would repeat what was said regarding a tight fit. I have used bearing liquid binding solution to ensure the fit has absolutely no play also use Loctite on the nut.

Where did you get the power valves that were leakers? The ones I have gotten from Datona have been good. I have five carburetors with them so far without any problems.

Great find. the recommended 50% acetone and Marvel Midstory oil. soak it be patient it will take quite a while. I just freed up a flathead sitting for 56 years.
