Flathead build

4 Attachment(s)
Enclosed photos of my flathead build. 304" engine with 8 throttle bodies.
Engine produced 305 ft lbs and 204 HP. Peak torque at 2750 rpm. That's where she cruises at 65mph with the Columbia. Spark and fuel control with ECU. 9000 miles and runs great in the AZ heat. Ran it to BC and back. Building a newer version with twin plugs
and new induction system. Stay tuned.

Wow, that is quite an accomplishment. It's great to see that there are guys like you still out there who are setting new frontiers with their "flathead magic." Congratulations and all the best with your innovative adeas. Please keep posting as I am sure we are all "tuned in."

Looks great, numbers are great, sure like to know more about it. I've often wondered about that plug location. Looks like exhaust ports are moved out, so it must work with what else is there, even tho I have been "informed" that there was nothing to gain by that. I didn't believe it.

Russ/40, I'd bet that you are a little low

Re: Flathead build

Looks like the plug may be favoring the exhaust valve more than stock location. Maybe he will come off some of his secrets.

Probably
It sure would be fun to have the means to try some of the high tech out there these days. I'm betting the next version will be with a huffer. Great stuff. Takes more than my feeble brain to get that stuff to work.

I'm the only party pooper here, I work on Flatheads because they don't have/need all the computerized, sensors, gadgets and millions of miles of wire.
But what do I know, I still have an 8 track in my truck.

ive gotta agree. might as well put in a late model engine. the simplicity and the history is what attracts me to the flathead.

I appreciate folks who push the boundaries so that home hacks like me can pick up little tid bits of info to help their more basic flatheads to be better.
