Pete,

May I suggest you purchase the "1937 Ford Book" from the Early Ford V8 Club of America? It will have lots of details like this. It's available for $33.00 on the clubs web page. A 1937 woodie wagon has got to be a beautiful automobile. Could you post a photo for us please?

If it's anything like the 1935-1936 book, there are details about colors, and color "chips" in this.

AND the '35-'36 Ford book is a good one too!

Re: 1937 colors

Autumn Brown would be the color as I have spent 51 of my 53 years here on earth in the exact car you speak of (as seen in my profile photo albumn).....I also drove my wife of 22 years away from the church in it as well. Maroon (Coach Maroon I believe), black, light yellow were also wagon colors, I'm sure the dark green was to but haven't seen one that color personally.

Stop by my house tonight and I will show you the '37 book. Since you left your general location out of your profile I can only hope that you live close. Send me an email if you don't live close.

I understand there was a color only available on the west coast for 1937. Don't know the name. Kind of a tan-gray color. See my avatar photo.

That was Desert Sand, a 1936 Easter color. This color was continued through 1938 from the Long Beach Ca and Richmond Ca assembly plants only. Documentation of this for the 1938 year is readily available, however, to my knowledge,no documentation has as yet been found for 1937. See Desert Sand on my avatar.
