I can still hear the radio ads on WLAK, 1430 on your radio dial....... "Lakeland Ford; 125 Lake Mirror Drive; Lakeland, Florida" Owner: Griner Waters That is the exact place I saw my first '50 Ford (light green); '55 2-seater T-bird (aqua); the first place I saw my first '61 Hi-po Starliner (black); my first 427 '63 Galaxie (red); the first place I saw my first '66 390 GT Fairlane (silver)...... The building still stands today, although last time I was there, it was a Coca-Cola warehouse. Thank you! Mike Durhan |

Re: Old Ford Pictures - social group Rebel Sympathy .......................
In your string of Ford dealer photos is a Valley Motor Sales. It was located in Charleston, West Virginia. In the very early 60s, I had a friend who worked in that parts department building. At the time, I was only interested in "A" parts and they did not have any. They had all been scrapped. MIKE :) |

I have this log-book, from WWII, where the Germans kept records of one of their Fords. They had to chart the mileage, route, gas used, purpose of trip, passengers, etc. Everything was recorded and signed off. Years ago, I had a German girl, who was working for me, to translate it.
