Making Tub Man a proud papa??? 2 Attachment(s)
Got to show this off a bit. It is a customers unit to test and adjust only , as he rebuilt it . Got the Tubb Man large brass condensor , got to have the best look ever ????? AND they seem to work very well!!!!
Good job Dennis :eek::eek: |
Re: Making Tub Man a proud papa??? That really looks sharp!

Re: Making Tub Man a proud papa??? What Jim and I forgot to mention is the clamp is part of tubman's package. The clamp
is die formed especially for the Big Brass condenser...not a recycled do dad. Charlie ny |
Re: Making Tub Man a proud papa??? So Jim.... on our next distributor this winter, can I request the tubman brass condensor in lieu of the napa one? If nobody looks under my hood, which would you prefer?

Re: Making Tub Man a proud papa??? "GB" - Excuse me for stepping in here, but the big problem with these was determining whether they were reliable. I ran one on my '51 (with a Merc flathead and a Mallory dual point) for a couple of years before I even mentioned them on these boards. I am confidant now that these are as close to "bullet proof" as they can be. I offer a 1 year warranty on these after my experience. How do you know if an item will go 5 years and 50,000 miles unless you have run one? I have 3 years and 20,000 miles on an original (I also have a couple of buddy's who are running them with no problems for almost as long.)
I started building these because a regular condenser from your FLAPS looks hideous hanging off of a vintage "high performance" distributor. Do you need one in a stock configuration? No, but if you hang one off of the side of your stock distributor (points or not) , it's gonna look pretty cool. |
