09A clutch/brake pedal assy vs 01A

Will an 09A clutch/Brake assy work in place of a 01A? This will be going in a '38 presently with a '39 assembly.

what you are actually trying to do is be able to work the clutch with a lever instead of the slot end as on 40-48 Fords. change out the clutch shaft and run a 01A clutch pedal set

I want to change to the equalizer arm set up as in a '40, using a side-shift transmission.

Bracket to the frame and the brake pedal will work but the clutch arm will be offset wrong. Change it to a 40 ford pedal. The 40 clutch linkage when i did this had to be shortened and the ball that bolts to frame area was shaped alittle different then a 40 frame in that area. I did this in a 37 frame.

Anybody know if the 09A '40 Mercury brake/clutch bracket will bolt to a '40 frame?
