Re: Rhode island engine Nice pic's walt, what color is that engine? Scott
|
Re: Rhode island engine Good question. The engine in my pickup is the same color. It's a 59A. So is that the right color for 46 to 48?
|
Re: Rhode island engine The paint is antique Ford green, it's the same from 1928 Model A to 41 in 42 they went to a dark blue. Walt

Re: Rhode island engine Thank's Walt, the first couple pics had that blue in it, I see the green now in the last pic. The flash does change thigs:D. Scott

Re: Rhode island engine I got a can from Mac's, #M200. It comes out so dark it's almost black. I wonder if it was just a bad batch. I was going to use it to recolor the Skips rebuilt water pumps. I ended up leaving them in the color he uses.

Re: Rhode island engine Hope,
Thats a good looking power plant. Your 40 will wear it proud for many miles. Will you be ready for a ride in the later part of August? |
Re: Rhode island engine I sure would like to hear that Flathead run, but it wont be anytime soon. You see i'm 76 years old (same as Walt) LoL and i work real "slow" and on top of that my back has given me a lot of trouble lately, and i've stil got a lot of work to do, some of it on my back under the car. If i can figure out why my computer wont let me post a picture i'll put one on.

Re: Rhode island engine Hi Hope, I have an engine built by Ol'RON with around 20,000 mi on it and runs like a Deer. We must be 2 of the smartest flathead guys to use these 2 guys and we live 20 mi apart! Go figure. Tell us what you are putting the engine in.
