Set of 4 shocks and arms need info

4 Attachment(s)
I took this set of 4 shocks off a 1930 Model A, but I think they are from a V8 series in the 1930's? Looking for info on what they go on and what would be a fair selling price? Pair of arms are F-872 and F-937.

I bought a set of Stipes, so these can go to a new home.

Thank you for any information.

They appear to be front shocks from a 1940 Ford passenger car. Body diameter?
The arms most certainly appear to have been heavily modified. Are the balls welded to the arms?

The arms have been heated and bent for the Model A application. Not much value IMO.Hot Rodder might want them?

Thanks for identifying these. I see now the arms are bent for the Model A fit. Are the shock bodies of any value for 1940 collector? Two were tested and adjusted to a Model A spec. for damping.

If the bodies are close to 2 7/8" diameter, they are worth a little. Are they worth the bother to sell? Probably not.

Kimeccles, I think those shock bodies could be of value to someone trying to do a correct restoration. Someone like Andy Falandes in Massachusetts, who rebuilds these type of shocks would be one of your best source of informative on the questions you are asking here..... in my opinion.

This is the contact info I have for him in my files:
Andrew "Andy" Falandes, EFV8 Shock Rebuilding,

Only if they are 2 7/8" diameter bodies. If they are 3 1/4", nearly worthless.

I had recently sold a pair of NOF front shocks, concourse correct, in the boxes for $250.
This stuff is losing value seemingly by the day.
And, how many guys are doing proper restorations these days?

Those are more scarce than the service parts of 3 1/4". Might have some value.
