35 pickup floorboards

Re-assembling the 1935 1/2T pickup we bought dis-assembled. Seem to be missing part of the floorboards from the bottom of the firewall back into the cab as shown in the picture. Is this wood or metal and is it available for purchase ?.

Pretty sure it's plywood, mine was.

Re: 35 pickup floorboards

It takes a Metal Toe Board. They are available in Reproduction, or there are NOS ones available

There were two styles of metal toeboards. See image below.

Believe the man is saying from the bottom of the toe board to the front of the seat frame ?

Re: 35 pickup floorboards

No I think Mr Rodgers is right. The piece I'm missing would include the area surrounding the clutch & brake pedal, gas pedal and would be on the "slanted" portion of the floor front. It should match into the original wooden floor that extends back to the seat frame. Thanks for everyone's input. I'm looking now for reproduction pieces

I have a used 35-36 original steel toe board that will require a little (not much) body work. It is solid but does have few small "WRINKLES" here and there. It is yours for shipping to your place.

I have a NOS 35 pickup toeboard out in the parts bin that I will not be using. If interested, pm me or email me at [email protected]

Don, is the upper photo for a big truck 4 speed?

Re: 35 pickup floorboards

Lawson, the piece you have does it extends across the floorboard from side to side. I have one small plate that is approx. 7" square with slots for the clutch & brake plus a notch for the steering column. I have nothing else I can find. Having computer problems or I would send a picture. Thanks

That is what I have, the big piece. What you sent me a picture of appears to be the small piece. I would send you a picture, but I too am having picture problems.

I am going down to the shop in a few minutes and I will check it out just to be sure I remember what I have. It has been a while.

Brenden, The upper photo is for a pickup also. Just a different shape over the transmission. The pedal cutout area for a large truck is way different from the pickup. Below is a detail of the cutout area for a large truck.

Janko, The plate that you have is the pedal opening cover plate and screws to the toeboard to hold the pedal shaft dust seals in place. See drawing of plate in place.

Re: 35 pickup floorboards

Don, Thanks. This would have been a journey without you guys. In your previous post showing the two models of toe boards, can you tell me which one would be for the 35 1/2 ton pickup ?.

Re: 35 pickup floorboards

The one on the bottom in Don's pic, is like the two I have, but one difference I know for sure, is my transmission cover does not look like anything in your pic (first post), both of mine are much flatter.

That said, both my trucks had 3speed transmissions.

Re: 35 pickup floorboards

Janko, Either style is correct for 1935.

Mike, Janko's transmission cover appears to be correct with the correct profile. Here is a drawing of a 35/36 transmission cover with the 35 and 36 transmission tower hole locations sketched in.
