Model A Ford Speedster Kit Hi,
I have a Chassis with engine, trans, etc with no body. I want to do a Speedster but I'm not sure about standars (if Any) of how they suppose to be. Also I want to know the companys that manufacture a Speedster Kit. Exist any guide were I can do it by myself? Thanks, |
Re: Model A Ford Speedster Kit javden,
You may check the Northwest Vintage Speedsters web site at http://www.nwvs.org/ and you can see different speedsters listed there, with very different looks. Also, you can check my profile where there are pictures of two speedsters the Blue on is fabricated with International Hoods for the boattail, and the Ivory Speedster Boatrail if made from a 47 Chevy hood. I don't know of any Speedster kits, but I think Mac's Ford Parts has a kit they sell. Bob |
Re: Model A Ford Speedster Kit www.rootlieb.com they offer the speedster kit used by many people.

Re: Model A Ford Speedster Kit My avatar shows the speedster I built using the Rootlieb kit. I purchased the kit through Bratton's. I went with full fenders just to keep the rocks under the car. It was fairly easy to assemble. I had a body shop do the final fitting and paint. I did see a very nice looking speedster on the cover of a Model A book that I checked out at the local library. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of it. It was built with a stock Model A cowl and fenders but open from the windshield back. Have fun with it. Howie

Re: Model A Ford Speedster Kit Don't a number of vendors offer speedster kits in the catalogs? Like Bratton's, Mac's, etc.???
