Looking for Chassis Restoration book

Fellow Members:
I feel like some time ago someone posted a photo of a Model A Chassis Restoration manual or book. I have searched previous postings and I can't find it. Does anyone out there know if there is such a book. Your help is appreciated!

I'll have to find mine, but I think it was in the mid 50's Ford Archives put out a restoration manual.

Here's another good pair of books to have. Free shipping and both for less than $20.

Did you snag that pair for $19.06? I knew it would sell quickly at that price. I'd have bought them, but I already have both of them.

The fellow from Australia puts out an excellent chassis restoration book. It is actually for the restoration of the whole car - but does have an excellent focus on chassis.

Re: Looking for Chassis Restoration book

I'm new to the "A" game....lol and am looking for advice or recommendations on THE best/most informative/"biggest bang for your buck" "restoration" publication?

I've seen a few, but most of them seem to contain excerpts from one or more of the same sources...

If you could start with just one (for now).... which book would be your recommendation?

Thanks in advance...

If you can't get a hold of one, I know someone with one of those books. I briefly considered distributing them a while ago.Maybe I can track one down for you.

Re: Looking for Chassis Restoration book

Don't think I'd want to get by without at least 5 or 6 books, but the first one I wanted to buy was "The Model A Ford, as Henry Built It".

Soon after that came "Parts Price List", Service Bulletins", "Restoration Guidelines", Owner's Manual, and parts books from Bert's, Bratton's, and Snyder's, as well as A&L.

These are the books that come to mind as the "must have" books for every Model A owner.

I think is the one. Just to correct the record, I think the author is a Kiwi.

Re: Looking for Chassis Restoration book

For the record the book published in 1955 with data from the Ford archives and published by Ford Motor Company was published for the Model A Restorer's Club National Meet in Dearborn that year and a copy of the book was presented to each meet participant. Somehow I ended up with 2 copies at that 1955 meet and I have twice advertised my second copy here on fordbarn with no response. It is no longer available as it was donated for a club auction.
