Help identifying the radiator in the '40 1 Attachment(s)
I don't belief the radiator in my '40 is original, although it looks like it belongs and has been in there for awhile. Thank you.

Picture attached is what the radiator should appear as in your car. Even though this particular one is in a '40 pickup, it's identical to the passenger cars. The exception? The 60HP equipped vehicles had a very different radiator. |

Look around the top tank to see if you can find a number stamped in it. I have one similar but not just like it in one of my 40s and it has a 91A number stamped in it. It’s a service replacement radiator. It’s not factory correct but it cools.

Re: Help identifying the radiator in the '40 filler cap should be on drivers side also split core there was a nice one for sale at hershey

Re: Help identifying the radiator in the '40 Could it be out of a 41 Ford? I think that a 41 will fit a 40 with no mods. I also think a 41 will hold 1 quart of water than a 40 will.

Re: Help identifying the radiator in the '40 Thank you al for your help. The side fill & spilt core are good cues. I will look for the number stamped on it. I had the radiator cleaned, pressure tested and a side strap re-soldered by Starfish Radiator, and it cools just fine. It looks & works good but I was just curious as what it was, as I knew it probably wasn't original. I though it might be a '41 also.

Re: Help identifying the radiator in the '40 I had a service replacement that looked exactly like that, the 91-A was not stamped in but was embossed and the characters stuck out. Sold it to a club member that needed a 39 radiator (but not for the concourse).
