1938 - 1940 Ford Banjo Rear End City:

Thanks for looking.
I'm looking for a 38 to 40 rear end in decent shape for a full fendered Model AV-8 project. If I'm lucky, you have what I need and live within a days drive from Phoenix. Originally wanted 38 or 39, but 40 or 41 will work. |
Re: 1938 or 1939 Ford Banjo Rear End I have various 1939 rear parts. Banjo ring and pinion spider gears axles. If you rebuild one keep me in mind Thanks John @ 973 835 1472

Re: 1938 - 1940 Ford Banjo Rear End Sorry about the confusion, but I am a FNG. Apparently the 1940 rear end will work perfectly. Hit me up if you have one that you keep tripping over in your garage. Thx.

Re: 1938 - 1940 Ford Banjo Rear End I have a complete differential out of a 1941 pickup. Includes drum to drum, radius rods, torgue tube and rear spring. Located in Pocatello, Idaho. I used to live in northwest Phoenix and it is 850 miles from here to Bell Road and I-17. I could drive it in one day. $350 for the entire setup, but you would have to come get it. I will be in Phoenix for the Goodguys Southwest Nats next week, but cannot haul the rear end with me. Driving a Subaru. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks. Paul Meske My cell number is 602 320-4801. Since we moved here we kept our AZ phone number for convenience. |
Re: 1938 - 1940 Ford Banjo Rear End I got one locally out of a 1940 truck. Thanks anyway. I'll probably be posting the springs and radius arms for sale soon.
Enjoy Good Guys, the weather's been great this week. |
Re: 1938 - 1940 Ford Banjo Rear End lets see, how for is it to prescott? maybe 90 miles, is that too far? Got one in a 40 passanger frame, complete. Still Looking?

Re: 1938 - 1940 Ford Banjo Rear End Trucks were generally 4.11 same as 60 hp. Ratio 4.56 optional for trucks with 60hp as far as my info go's. I use a 37-40 rearend with 3.78 rato an is perfect, I have a happy sounding 2200 rpm at 55mph you will be a lot happier at 55 if you end up with 4.11 ratio. I am primarily a below 55 go out-of- my-way to be a back road guy so no sweat, but check for 3.78 if you have to do go fast or as I would do, move to Hooterville.
