So, what's with the "Roaming Gnome"? On BILL WZOREK's thread "So how many miles did you drive in 2013" (here: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131050) after I reported an estimated 17,000 miles last year another great driver, Fibber Mcgee, who drove 9-10,000 miles, suggested that I was like the travel gnome from Travelocity. I liked the idea, particularly since I have Gnomes living in my back yard, so I adopted the "Roaming Gnome" as my avatar, at least for a while.
I know, probably not of general wide interest but someone may wonder. Back yard Gnomes at the Gnome-mo-house: http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/...ps79fa5348.jpg Headed for Lava Hot Springs then Teton National Park in Old Henry tomorrow. |
Re: So, what's with the "Roaming Gnome"? They're not baking cookies in there? Are they? Oh wait- it's the elves that bake in trees.

Re: So, what's with the "Roaming Gnome"? Is that a zip line on the tree?
|
Re: So, what's with the "Roaming Gnome"? The zip line is on another tree. This cable stretches across the yard to a huge branch of the Navaho Globe Willow that hangs over the house to keep it from falling on the house.

Re: So, what's with the "Roaming Gnome"? By the looks of your avatar I think you have some mischievous gremlin gnomes. These are a sub-specie of the traveling gnome. Keep a close eye when on your travels with Old Henry. There is no telling what these guys will do. They usually don't do anything serious. Just little things to slow you down.

Re: So, what's with the "Roaming Gnome"? Love to see you and old Henry on your trips. Considering the foul winter weather you encounter, what kind of tires are you using ?

Re: So, what's with the "Roaming Gnome"? Old Henry, watch the movie "Amelie" to see where the travel gnome originated.
