35 Front axle

Hello to everybody,
Regarding the front axle I have some doubts, the 35-36 Ford book point out, “the front axle was an arched I-beam similar to 1934, but redesigned to accommodate a new front radius rod that allowed the front spring to be placed in front of the axle”, but on the Chassis Parts List, only appear one reference for the front axle for the years between 32-36 part number B-3010.
Actually, There are any difference on front axle for the 35-36 years? What? How to recognize what year is the front axle?
Best regards,
Fredys

The axle is the same from 1933 to 1936. I left out 1932 as a 32 might have the heavy axle, though some 32s did have the 33-36 axle.

If your spring is mounted in front of the axle, it is probably the correct axle for the car. It looks like someone fitted a good set of 32-34 brakes rather than rebuild the 35 brakes.

If the 32-34 brakes are serviceable, why not just refit them until a set of 35's turn up? What you have will work, and it would be a shame to hold up the project just because they are not exactly right.

Where was your car built? Could it be that the brakes were fitted like that at the factory?

Mart.

All 33 to 36 passenger and pickup axles are the same …. And the 32 is dimensionally the same as 33 to 36
