51-areas of concern

contemplating the purchase of a 51 v8 with autotrans. beside the normal things to look out for, anything special to watch for on this year/model? thanks

I have owed my 51 with a fordomatic over over 15 years now, god willing will owed it other 15 years, love it, the fordomatic will spot your floor you have to torque the converter bolts time to time, but otherwise still run my stock 51 weekly, enjoy the magic air and automatic ride control (love those statements) good luck and enjoy AL
