I take it your referring to the Ford~Heyer strobe machine. Skip
has 2 and I have one in Pa. that we rebuilt 25 or more years ago.
We keep a master distributor in a sealed plastic bag and every
couple years put it on the machines to see that they agree. When
set up on these machines it is rare to have to adjust the distributor
after installing. I just put one on a 36 last week and with Skips
rebuilt coil it starts as soon as you touch the starter button even
after the engine got to 210 degrees. Sorry but right now I'm to
busy to copy the manual, I believe others on this forum have them
available. G.M.

There is the early style Heyer and the later style post war. What do you have?

He said it was from the 40's, that would make it the larger,
later machine I believe. G.M.

Is this the one you're talking about? I have one that I am still looking for a part for to try and get going, There is a lot of information in the Ford service bulletins of the era and there is a book with instructions as well (I have a copy).

I can help with some information, let me know what you have and what you need.

The second picture is the post war version.
