Does anyone have an original 16" Lyon wheel cover they could take a picture of how they mount.

Any idea how that attaches to the wheel? I bought a set of Lyon re-pops from Kevin Lee on the HAMB which are a very nice set of wheel covers but the have no way to attach other than running a trim ring. I would like to use them without trim rings and am looking for ideas.

the caps are made to fit 16" wire wheels or 16 " kelsey hays wires, I thought Kevins caps were held on by the hub cap, Dave

If you're talking about the spun caps, guys use 4 screws behind the center cap or sheet metal screws around the outer lip into the wheel. Read thru this thread. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/....782916/page-3

Firerod, The original wheel covers snap on and are held in place by the tabs. As you can see by the photos, the original covers had a stainless band around the outer circumference , with a rubber seal beneath it. I have also included the mounting instructions included in the brochure.

Thank you all for the pictures and info. Don that is awesome you have the original instructions, wow! I will have to see if I can fab some tabs to mount like the originals.

You are both welcome. If I hadn't scanned this into the computer years ago, I would never be able to find it.
