adjustable wrenches While I realize an adjustable wrench isn't really the best tool I have a few on hand as they come in useful from time to time.
What is the difference between autolocking and standard? Does the autolocking feature have any drawbacks? |
Re: adjustable wrenches Is that question for a Metric or English wrench ????

Re: adjustable wrenches Both?
I guess the autolocking somehow locks the adjustment from spinning while in use. One like this : http://www.buy.com/prod/click-stop-p...219434138.html |
Re: adjustable wrenches I looked at the ad it looks like a standard adjustable. Never used a pronto so can't speak for the quality which even in adjustable wrenches makes a difference.

Re: adjustable wrenches Don't know how many types are out there, but ,
On the lock one I have=the barrel has small groves on the one end too lock it in place,to unlock and adjust you move it off the groves. The is a right and wrong way to use any adjustibles, the moving side of jaws should always be behind the force so load in at the bottom of moving jaw nearist the barrel vs at the top were there is more play in adjusted size.;) |
Re: adjustable wrenches Yea, I don't know.
What I'm actually looking at is the same style but from Mcmaster so I have no idea what brand it would actually be. Mcmaster while pricey usually carries good stuff. They give an option for standard or auto-locking. Autolocking sounds like it would be a good thing, just not sure if it would end up causing problems. |
Re: adjustable wrenches Does it come with a box of Band-Aids ??? Mine didn't:mad:.
