brake shoe gauge for mechanical brakes What type of gauge is available today to measure the brake shoe to brake pad spacing... maybe just a handheld calibrated shim??. My 1933 repair book show a gauge that fits over the hub? and then you measure with a handheld shim anyway?

But is this just for a model A? or does it work for a 1933 ford. |
Re: brake shoe gauge for mechanical brakes The hub & drum is pretty good as a gauge. Also a large vernier caliper, if you are into such things

Re: brake shoe gauge for mechanical brakes I can't compete with you guy's my caliper is only 8 inches, but my readout is digital so I don't have to strain my eyes to see the vernier scale.
