Some of those big trucks had a 95 hp Merc eng. Mine does and has the hood badge also. Newc

In one of the pictures on the FB site the 95HP badge is shown.

My grandad who lived in Bandana, Ky had one of those old trucks in his front yard for a few years. My uncle/his son had been a fire chief and the truck was retired/replaced. I think it was a 1954 F-3 (350). My brother and I climbed onto it a few times around '62.

Typically Fire trucks have had engines rebuilt or replaced several times despite the mileage on vehicle as engine drives the water pump and may have thousands of hours on it.
