33 first drive

Today was the best day since started restoring the 33 three and a half years ago. Quite exciting to see the car slowly pulling out of the garage and heading down street on its own power for the first time in decades. Thanks to an understanding wife the open garage has become a shop with a nice front yard garden by it.

Have these videos to show to you. The first video shows the engine running without the exhaust. The others have a much sweeter sound after fitting the exhaust. What an experience to drive around the block sitting on wood blocks! Esthetics still are lacking but all main mechanical components worked well. As many of you have adivised, I tackled all the mechanical issues first to make it driveable. I will do the wiring and electrical parts next plus a myriad of little mechanical things that still need to be fine tuned, and the interior, and.. the list goes on. Only work one day a week, so progress is slow but sustained. Thanks Barners! Manuel

Fantastic!
It is a thrill comparable to putting a man on the moon!
I wish I could send you champagne for your achievement!
If the world only knew what a thrill it is, they would give up drugs and restore a classic car because this is real satisfaction.
Well done!!! my 1933 model B brother!

Congratulations !! I know the feeling well. I approached my own 33/34 the same way - all of the essential tasks to make it move under it's own power came first. Everything else came second, or not at all. With under 2 miles on the clock, I embarked on a 600+ mile trip. I never regretted it, and the satisfaction is wonderful.
You are doing a great job, and you will treasure those pictures/videos forever.
