Painted bumper clamps

Do all Model A's have painted bumper clamps?

Synder's sells unpainted clamps for cars starting in March 1930. Were these unpainted clamps used for all models til the end of production?

I have a 1929 Sport Coupe with some '28 parts. Mine should be painted, true?

Re: Painted bumper clamps

For whatever reason, my 31 has chrome on the front, black paint on the rear.

Just to clarify: The face of the clamp is bright with blue paint in the recesses, it's the back half of the clamp where the bolt goes thru that is finished as above.

Back in about 1993 I bought my 1929 clamps from A&L and bought a bottle of bumper clamp blue paint from Bratton's. I drilled some holes in a 2 x 4 to hold the clamps flat while I used a paint brush to flow in a heavy coat of paint in the recess. They came out great, but as soon as I was done I should have given the bottle of paint to someone else that could use it because it all dried up after a short time.
