Loose or worn front motor mounts old, oil soaked transmission mount worn out rear spring shackles loose u-bolts on rear spring Also, driver clutch engagement technique can worsen the chatter. When we first got our 46 it chattered for me and not much when my wife drove. Then noticed she was "slipping" the clutch on start up. So, the bottom line is fix all of the above, try different clutch engagement techniques and if you have rods, use them. John |
