Does anyone have a photo of a 29AA car hauler with a load of Model A's?

I thought I remembered seeing a photo one time but can't locate it now.

John, what country is the pic from? Some vehicles are RHD.
The 2 in front left look like Studebakers.
Anybody know what the flash car is parked on the road?

Manuel: That's Fire Station #3, 2200 West Main Street at Poplar Avenue in Alhambra, California in 1931. http://www.cityofalhambra.org/community/scrapbook.html

As for the RHD vehicles, it appears from old images that many fire truck manufacturers retained RHD long after passenger cars settled on LHD here in the States. Also, fire trucks tend to stay in service a long time; Alhambra's trucks may have been 5-15 years old when this picture was taken(?).

As for the "flash car"... I'm guessing Auburn? Help, anyone?

Thanks, Luke. I think the mystery "flash car" may be an Auburn with close-coupled bodywork.... maybe even an Auburn 12?

To piggyback onto Tim Kelly's post about the taxi, here is a closeup I took of the hinges (most likely after he pointed out the trivia associated with the three hinges). These are from the MARC meet in Grand Rapids in 2006.

This "taxi" has a good story in that it has been in the same family since new. I believe the history was that the family operated a taxi service and special ordered this one to use as a personal car with the full bench seat and no divider, just like TK mentioned.

I am enclosing a few pictures of the Hilco Autosled made in the mid 1930s in St. Cloud, Minnesota, at the former Pan Automobile plant. These were made for mail delivery, doctors, and others who needed winter transportation.

Nice thread!
Should submit some pictures of my first ground-up projekt, a '30/'31 pick-up.

Me, in the mock-up.

My friend and mechanic, thinking I'm nuts!

Rear piece from a fordor, but I've got one, which is horizontal parted, and seems original.

Bought a rolling frame with a fiber glass roadster, and I'm going to use that frame and axles for the PU.
Will start a thread on the restoration of it, when I start the project.

Thanks for sharing, Dannerr. I admire your turn signals. Do you know where your Tudor was assembled?

Do you mean the turnsignal on my tudor or on the Volvo, next to the mock-up?

I guess, it's assembled on Teglholmen, in Copenhagen, Denmark. As far as I'm informed, most northeuropean Model A's is asembled on the old asemblyline there.

Not Model A Ford but Model T. This is my late 14 screenside delivery, almost orginal. Only replace damaged wood parts and top. The original color looks like a dark green, and can be found behind the rear fenders. I'm not sure if I want to restore it. Purrs like a kitten and is a blast to drive.

I hope you don't restore it, even if I will never get to see it. There are just way too few originals, or almost all originals left.
