Model-A

A Neat Old Knock-Down

I found this old “knock-down” while cruising the Ford Barn galleries and just had to feature it… These coach built trucks have always enamored me as they are built so purposely and I’m continually left wondering what that exact purpose was. In any case, you can see more images here.

The Last 365 Days Of A

Well, the young man pulled it off… If you remember, Jonathan decided to park his late model car and use his model-a sedan for everyday transportation – rain, shine, or snow. Not surprisingly at all (to this Ford man anyhow), he was able to pull it off with minimal drama. His final post sums it all up well.

Check it out.

Color Photography from the 1930’s and 40’s

This is pretty much completely off topic, but I figured you guys would appreciate it. Photographers working for the United States Farm Security Administration (FSA) and later the Office of War Information (OWI) created the images between 1939 and 1944. The Library of Congress recently posted them on Flickr and they are simply incredible.

Check it out.

The Parts Store

This one has been sent to me via email no less than 10 times… So, many of you guys have probably seen it as well. In any case, I wanted to post it simply because it’s such a dreamy picture – A parts store with real, honest-to-goodness, PARTS! Can you imagine?

New To Him

Whether it be a turn-key runner or a project, there is just something so damned exciting about getting a new car. In this day and age of the internet, most of us “see” our new cars for the first time via a picture. These first sightings… these pictures… get burned into your brain and become part of the car’s identity over the long haul. I cherish these images.

Anyway, AstroZombie recently got himself a new coupe and posted the above image of his find. It made me think, “I wonder if anyone else out there loves their first ’sight’ as much as Zombie and I do.” If ya do, post them up!
