The above image was posted in the “Old Ford Pictures” thread and I just didn’t want it to get lost in the mix. It was posted by “Old Henry” and it features his pops standing proudly by an incredibly tasteful roadster. Pictures like these are why I love this stuff gentlemen.

We’ve talked about Willow Run Airport before, but I’ve never seen video coverage of the plant Ford used to contribute to the war effort. This one was sent to me and while sort of off-topic, I figured you guys would appreciate it.

So Chris posted his Christmas card and it got me thinking about these old Fords of ours in the snow. It makes for a wonderful picture, does it not? We don’t get much snow down here in Austin, so I’ll have to live vicariously through your guys… Post your favorite show shot!!!!

Jay Ward found this series. It’s a pretty great compilation of Ford/Mercury promotional videos from 1941 that capture the selling points of the “big” new cars. Figured you fellas would enjoy it.

I posted this today on the Jalopy Journal and figured I had better post it here as well… A guy named Mike Hammerberg fell in love with the character of Gus and the stories he told in old Popular Science Magazines. So much so, that he and his secretary transcribed all 529 of his stories and created a website. Now, we can all read them… This is pretty great.

I hate it when some guy finds a perfect ‘32 that has been hiding in a barn for decades and then sums it up with a quote like, “They are still out there…” It drives me nuts with jealousy, because while they very well might “still be out there,” I never seem to stumble upon them.

Although others sure do.

Few things in life are as gratifying as simply watching an old Ford go together. “39Portlander” is putting together a little ‘39 truck and the damned thing is just so clean and sanitary… It has been a ball to watch. To catch up on his latest, click here.
